The Cointreau Creative Crew is a philanthropist programme meant to reveal and boost women’s creativity, by encouraging them to make their dreams come true. Curated by Laetitia Casta, the “Dream, Dare Create” initiative was inspired by the work of Louisa Cointreau, a women’s rights pioneer and wife of the brand’s founder, Edouard Cointreau. Laetitia Casta invited selected women and men from the four corners of the globe to share their goals and their dreams.
For the first creative interview, Laetitia Casta wanted to meet Eva Longoria. It was an opportunity for Eva to talk about her life dream that she was able to turn into a reality and which today is her greatest source of pride: the establishment of the Eva Longoria Foundation, an organisation designed to help disadvantaged women and children to build a better future through teaching and a pioneering approach. In 2006, Eva had already been involved in founding the organisation Eva’s Heroes, which supports people with mobility and development disabilities. This commitment earned her the honour of being named Philanthropist of the Year by The Hollywood Reporter in 2009.
Eva Longoria took tests devised by Guila-Clara Kessous and completed questionnaires to reveal her character and give insight into her background and success. The answers she gave were displayed in the form of creative mood boards to illustrate her fundamental creative character. Her one colour was red, her one perfume was her floral, fruity, musky scent with juicy notes of bergamot blossom and her one dream was about wild strawberries as all Eva’s dreams are linked to food. Eva’s quote was “You can’t be what you can’t see”. From this, Alfred Cointreau, Brand Heritage Manager and sixth generation of the Cointreau family, played his part by creating a Cointreau Fizz recipe inspired by Eva’s answers.
- 50ml Cointreau
- 20ml freshly squeezed lime juice
- 6 fresh strawberries
- 6 wild strawberries
- 100ml sparkling water
- 1 lime
- 1 bergamot blossom
- In a shaker, add Cointreau, fresh lime juice, muddle the strawberries and wild strawberries.
- Fill with ice and shake until the metal tin is frosted.
- Strain into the glass over ice.
- Top off with sparkling water. Stir briefly.
Tip: Garnish with a small wild strawberries skewer, a lime peel and a bergamot blossom.
