Beverly Hills Formula states that: “Perfect White Black toothpaste is the latest revolutionary whitening toothpaste that delivers professional tooth whitening results to help achieve that all important “Hollywood smile” without the need for harsh abrasives and bleach. Perfect White Black’s secret beauty weapon is the advanced ingredient Activated Charcoal which is proven to be one of the most effective and safest teeth whitener ingredients. Scientifically formulated Activated Charcoal helps eliminate bacteria that causes bad breath and neutralises remaining odours, leaving breath feeling fresh all day long.”
“Compounds such as tannins found in coffee, tea, wine, berries and spices, all of which stain teeth; are removed by the Activated Charcoal from the surface of teeth without harming the enamel. The Hydrated Silica combined with the Activated Charcoal offers a high performance whitening boost that makes the toothpaste safe for daily use. Sodium Fluoride within Perfect White Black (0.31% w/w 1400ppmF) keeps tooth enamel strong and healthy, effectively helps prevent caries and decay, and protects against acid attacks. The Beverly Hills range of toothpastes are also proven to be less abrasive than many regular and teeth whitening toothpaste brands, so they are kinder to your teeth and are suitable for everyday use.”
Rather disconcerting squeezing BLACK toothpaste onto the toothbrush when I tried this at home for the first time. However the black paste quickly turns into the characteristic minty froth expected with other toothpastes and feels no different in the mouth. Spitting out the greyish foam is also a bit odd but the amazingly fresh minty feeling in the mouth left behind is great. We have not had the opportunity to test Beverly Hills Perfect White Black toothpaste long enough to validate its tooth whitening claims however we do agree that the breath does appear fresher immediately after use compared with other leading toothpastes and the whitening formula does not feel abrasive in the slightest.
