Gtech Lawnmower

Gtech, the makers of the highly siccessful Gtech AirRam cordless vacuum cleaner have now launched a new high performance, cordless lawn mower. The Gtech Lawnmower harnesses the power from its 36V Lithium-Ion battery to provide up to 40 minutes of run time that will make light work of your garden lawn, cutting up to 300m² on a single charge with its precision steel blades.

Winners of a 2015 Queens Award for Enterprise in Innovation for its cordless vacuum cleaner, Gtech AirRam, Gtech’s engineers have brought together clever design features and the latest Lithium-ion battery technology to ensure a winning design that delivers high performance and functionality.

Gtech’s CEO and founder, Nick Grey, says: “I love mowing my lawn, but petrol cans and extension cables are a pain. We’ve worked really hard to make the Gtech mower powerful, lightweight and easy to use.”

The Gtech Lawnmower is simple to operate as there are no cables to untangle or constantly whip out of the way, just press the safety button, pull the lever and go! The mower is delivered fully assembled; just attach the bin, set the handle length and insert the battery.

The Gtech mower has a high quality metal blade that is easily adjustable between 30mm and 80mm in 10mm increments. The adjustable cutting feature is perfect to cope with seasonal variations when a longer or shorter cut length may be required, achieving a beautiful cut time and time again.

The larger wheels make manoeuvring across lawns easier, and an extendable handle pivots forward and back, making it easy to push to and fro, glide into corners and reach under over-hanging hedges. The generous, detachable 35 litre grass collection bin has an ingenious ventilation flap that tells you when the bin needs emptying making it easy to know exactly when the bin has reached capacity so you can focus on what’s important rather than having to keep checking if the bin is full.

As with all Gtech products, the mower is easy to charge. The removable battery is the only the size of a standard water bottle. Simply unclip it from its cradle located on top of the mower and connect to the mains powered docking station. The battery charges in 5 hours from flat, and gives a run time up to 40 minutes. One battery enables the mower to cut lawns up to 300m2 on a single charge – that’s larger than the average tennis court. A spare battery can be purchased to double the capacity up to 600m2.

The lightweight and compact design makes the Gtech Lawnmower a delight to use as it weighs under 17kg so is easy to move around the garden and at the end of the job, the Gtech mower won’t take over your shed as the handle simply folds down for compact, clutter-free storage. Those with small children will be reassured that there is a safety key which deactivates the mower when removed to prevent young fingers starting the mower.

The Gtech cordless Lawnmower costs £299 direct from A spare battery is available to purchase for £99.95.
