More dining options present themselves in the evening for those returning to the hotel from a long day in London, as business and leisure travellers alike can sit back and savour the wonderful contemporary dining offered at the hotel’s Cinnamon Restaurant and Bar with its tempting a la carte menu and signature cocktails. To start his culinary journey at Cinnamon Restaurant, my dining companion chose the Spring Salad of Sautéed Squid, Radish, Greens and Dill Leaves.
For my starter, I decided to try the Butternut Squash Soup
For the main event I chose the 10oz Rib Eye Steak served with slow roasted plum tomatoes, portabella mushrooms and watercress.
My dining companion enjoyed the Grilled Tiger Prawns.
To accompany our mains, we shared a portion of French Fries… tomato ketchup for him… mayonnaise for her.
To finish, the dessert menu contains a range of decadent sweet treats to suit even the sweetest sweet tooth. I tucked in to the Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel Ice Cream and Chocolate Ganache.
My dining companion chose the healthier option of a selection of sorbet garnished with fresh berries.
After dinner, it was time to retire to our comfortably appointed King Executive Room and relax for the rest of the evening. Each of Hilton London Canary Wharf’s 282 stylish and spacious guest rooms and suites offer quiet and contemporary surroundings to enjoy the flat-screen TV with on-demand movies and complimentary Wi-Fi to catch up on all the happenings on social media.
After a very comfortable night filled with pleasant dreams in our kingsize bed, it was time to rise and shine with the delicious spread awaiting us at breakfast. Options included continental choices of pastries, fruit, yoghurt, deli meats and cheese with a hot selection of the Full English plus porridge and a choice of eggs with the usual fresh juices, teas and coffee.
An eight minute walk from Canary Wharf tube station, Hilton London Canary Wharf is the ideal place to stay for a city break this spring and the hotel is currently offering amazing weekend rates available from just £144 including breakfast based on two adults sharing.
