The Pub & Fenton Dining Room
At the heart of The Orange Tree, is the welcoming pub and Fenton Dining Room in which to relax, drink and dine. Open for everything from morning coffee, breakfast and leisurely lunches through to casual dinners, colleague
get‐togethers and family celebrations.
The main bar has a warm and relaxed vibe with Chesterfield sofas and comfy oversized chairs whilst the town’s
links with sporting life are expressed on the walls with vintage rugby pictures, cricket bats, tennis rackets and rambler walking sticks. The botanical theme continues in the dining room, styled to resemble a potting shed and highlighted by a bespoke digital wallpaper of Victorian‐inspired plant illustrations and a distressed dresser filled with decorative gardening tools.
Classic pub dishes and signature specials are bursting from the all‐day menu of top quality seasonal dishes that use the best of the British farmer’s larder. Dishes include confit Gressingham duck cottage pie with Butler’s Secret cheddar mash alongside rib of beef, beef dripping chips, wild garlic butter and crisp shallots. Other highlights are Oxsprings cured ham, Suffolk chorizo and salami with pickles and ale bread in addition to poached sea trout with roasted broccoli and a butternut and quinoa salad with avocado oil dressing.
The menu is complemented with a carefully crafted wine list and, with two popular theatres nearby, The Orange Tree also offers a two and three course pre‐theatre menu from 5.00pm – 7.30pm daily.
On the bar, expect an extensive selection of cask ales and rotating local guest favorites, alongside premium lagers and an exclusive collection of ancient ‘shrub’ vinegar cocktails. Handcrafted in‐house, The Orange Tree shrubs originate from the 17th century England where vinegar was used as an alternative to citrus juices in the preservation of berries and other fruits out of season. Delicious options include a raspberry and Aspall apple balsamic alongside a fig ginger and Aspall sauvignon amongst others.
Located just moments from the home of rugby, Twickenham, The Orange Tree has long been established as the go‐to rugby pub before, during and after the big game. Catering for ardent rugby fans in true British style, The Orange Tree offers pre-match food and drink on the outdoor terrace bar and barbecue in addition to regular shuttle buses to and from the game, making The Orange Tree the perfect meeting point for family and friends.
We were delighted to try the new menu at the Orange Tree.
“The menu was inspired with the injection of well placed alcohol in traditional meals such as cider in our mussel starter and stout in the ice cream. If you fancy a pub night out with a twist this is a good venue to explore the culinary injection of beer, ale and stout into your menu”
