#BLINKWINKTHINK Selfie Challenge

Hugo TaylorChelsea’s finest, Hugo Taylor has taken part in the #BLINKWINKTHINK selfie challenge for Fight for Sight UK.

Fight for Sight and 100% Optical encourage everyone to #BLINKWINKTHINK, nominate and donate to raise valuable funds for pioneering eye research to prevent sight loss and treat eye disease. It sounds simple and it is simple, to raise money for such a worthwhile cause and help win the fight against sight loss.

Fight for Sight (the main eye research charity) and 100% Optical (the UK’s largest audited trade event for eye care professionals) are launching a campaign #BLINKWINKTHINK on 7th January 2015. The awareness campaign calls on the nation to #BLINKWINKTHINK about sight loss and the importance of eye research, whilst raising funds to help support eye research across the country.

Participants will be asked to take a ‘selfie’ style photo with one eye on show and the other cleverly disguised, covered or in ‘wink’ mode (think ID magazine covers for inspiration – and you can be as creative as you want!). After taking a selfie, they will upload their picture via Instagram, Facebook and Twitter whilst nominating a further three people to take on the #BLINKWINKTHINK challenge. On uploading a picture, a £3 text donation can be made by texting BWTC15 £3 to 70070 to donate to Fight for Sight and make a difference.

Fight for Sight is the charity partner for 100% Optical, the UK’s largest optical trade show taking place at London Excel on 7-9th February 2015. 100% Optical will be heavily involved in supporting the campaign alongside Fight for Sight, by encouraging all of their exhibitors to #BLINKWINKTHINK, nominate and donate. The campaign will culminate with an ‘eye’ wall of those who have participated in the campaign that will be on prominent display at the event.

Fight for Sight and 100% Optical is calling on the nation to get involved with #BLINKWINKTHINK, so whether you are affected by sight loss yourself, a loved one is or you just like selfies please show your support and donate via text, phone or online.
