Guests of The Runnymede on Thames were able to kick start the royal celebrations by indulging in an afternoon tea fit for a queen, tucking into an array of tempting treats from a limited edition menu that had enjoyed a royal makeover to mark the special occasion. The hotel’s waterside location meant guests were able to enjoy delicately crafted homemade cakes, scones and finger sandwiches as they overlooked the scenic views of the river, whilst its position amongst an abundance of green space offered the chance to enjoy a refreshing walk through the surrounding fields and woodlands.

If you spotted the trio at our Jubilee weekend, then you’ll be pleased to know that they’re back at The Runnymede for two dates in August. The trio draw from a repertoire which spans the great standards from yesteryear up to the more contemporary hits of today.

The Kit Massey Trio
The Kit Massey Trio (AKA The Hot Club of Jupiter) comprises of jazz violin accompanied by guitar and double bass. The trio draws from the repertoire of gypsy jazz made popular by the recordings and performances of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli – to this they add their own mix of hot jazz and personality.

The Josh Kemp Acoustic Trio
A jazz saxophonist with a gift for melody, Josh is known for his rich and warm tone and lyrical improvising. Whether its bluesy standards, mellow bossa nova, funky grooves, or popular classics, expect lively swing with an enjoyable and relaxed groove from top-level musicians.
